Exit ticket
On paper or an index card. Use the math word and the plain-English word.
- Find the perimeter of the triangle (0, 0), (6, 0), (6, 8).
- A triangle has base 15 and an altitude of 5. Find its area.
- Before using CD as the height of a triangle, what two things do you check with slopes?
- Describe the box method in two sentences.

- 6 + 8 + 10 = 24.
- One half of 15 times 5 is 37.5 square units.
- That D is on the base (same slope from the same point) and that CD is perpendicular to it (negative reciprocal slopes).
- Draw the smallest rectangle around the shape along the grid lines and find its area. Subtract the right triangles in the corners.
