Practice Problems
Try them, get help one step at a time, then print how it went.
Practice: try it, then get help one step at a time
Graphs described in words, so you practice the checklist and the story meaning together. Hint gives a nudge, Show next step shows one worked step at a time, Reveal answer checks, and Hide help / start over clears the card. Say where with an inequality every time.

Finished the practice? Print a page that shows each question, what you typed or chose, the correct answer, and how it went. Good for showing a teacher or keeping in a folder.
Exit ticket
On paper or an index card. Use the math word and the plain-English word.
- A graph of a plant's height crosses the y-axis at (0, 2). What is that point called, and what does it mean?
- A graph of a diver's height above the water goes from (0, 3) down through the x-axis at x = 1 to a lowest point (2, −4), then climbs back to the axis at x = 3. Where is it decreasing, where is it negative, and where is it both increasing and negative?
- Name the maximum and the minimum of that diver's graph.
- A line keeps climbing as you move right. Say its end behavior plainly, then with the word infinity.

- The y-intercept. The input is 0, so it is the starting value: the plant was 2 units tall at the start.
- Decreasing when 0 < x < 2. Negative when 1 < x < 3. Both increasing and negative when 2 < x < 3: rising, but still underwater.
- Maximum (0, 3), the start, 3 units above the water. Minimum (2, −4), 4 units under at 2 seconds.
- As x keeps going to the right, the graph keeps climbing. As x goes to infinity, y goes to infinity.
