Practice Problems

Try them, get help one step at a time, then print how it went.

Practice: try it, then get help one step at a time

Finn

Try it on your own first, even if you are not sure. A wrong first try tells you more than a blank box. Then press Hint and I will meet you there.

Write the equation from words, a table, and a graph, then use it to find a missing output or input. Hint gives a nudge, Show next step shows one worked step at a time, Reveal answer checks, and Hide help / start over clears the card.

Finished the practice? Print a page that shows each question, what you typed or chose, the correct answer, and how it went. Good for showing a parent or teacher, or keeping in a folder.

Exit ticket

On paper or an index card. Use the math word and the plain-English word.

  1. Tickets cost $7.50 each. Write the equation and find the cost of 6 tickets.
  2. In y = rx, what does each letter stand for?
  3. Gas is c = 3.20g. How many gallons does $48 buy?
Check your exit ticket
  1. c = 7.50t, and 6 tickets cost $45.
  2. y is the output, x is the input, and r is the unit rate, the number that never changes.
  3. 48 ÷ 3.20 = 15 gallons. Divide to go back.
