Six kinds of evidence prove the continents moved — tap each file to open it.
🧩 The Perfect Fit: The east coast of South America fits almost perfectly into the west coast of Africa! This was one of the first clues that continents had moved.
🦴 Fossil Evidence: The same fossils are found on continents now separated by oceans. The Mesosaurus, a freshwater reptile, couldn’t have swum across the Atlantic!
🌡️ Climate Clues: Glacier scratches are found in hot Africa, and coal (from tropical plants) is found in frozen Antarctica – proving continents have moved!
